Youth Minister, Part-Time

Caleb Hankins
Caleb Hankins, Youth Minister

Biography

I was born to Matthew and Gina Hankins on a military base in Misawa, Japan. We moved to Jefferson City while I was very young, so all I remember from my childhood is Jefferson City. I grew up attending the Church of Christ back when it was on Dix Rd. and for the brief time we were meeting at the Lawson elementary school gymnasium while the new building was being constructed. I graduated from Jefferson City High School in 2015 and then attended Harding University, receiving my Bachelors Degree in Mathematics with a Minor in Bible Ministry. While at Harding, I served a local congregation by helping in the 5th grade Bible class, I led a Wednesday night devotional group at a professor’s house, I took a mission trip to Rwanda to deliver books and teach English at their schools in Kigali, and even served as a Youth Intern for the McDermott Road Church of Christ in the Dallas area. Upon graduating in 2019, I returned back home to teach 7th grade math at Thomas Jefferson Middle School, and I have been there ever since. I am in my 6th year as a teacher and I have enjoyed the opportunities I have leading the devotional for the young adults and helping out by occasionally leading the youth group classes. Last but certainly not least, I just recently got married to my best friend and beautiful wife, Rachel, on August 10, 2024.
